Rob and Susie Newbanks - Owners

Rob first learned of his interest in photography as far back as kindergarten while watching his dad print black and white pictures in the basement of their home. By the time he was in Junior High he had his own darkroom and would go out to take pictures just for the pleasure of being able to return to the darkroom for an afternoon of processing and printing. Following his passion into High School he took the opportunity to take half day vocational training in Photography, which later led to a college degree in Photographic Technology. While in college Rob worked in a retail camera store, and CPI Photo Finishing during the mini-lab boom. After graduation he went to work for a large pro lab in Kansas City as Quality Control Manager. It was there where he not only gained his expert knowledge of photographic processing but also was introduced to his wife Susie.

Susie also has the same passion for the industry and together they made quite the combination. Susie is the most knowledgeable production person that one could work with. She has a strong eye for detail, speed, quality and care for customers day in and day out.

After being married and working at the Pro lab in Kansas City for 10 years Rob and Susie were ready for the next step of owning and operating their own lab. They moved to Raleigh NC, to start what is now NC Tricolor imaging. These two experts of their field are not only the owners but continue to participate in all aspects of day to day operation. Together they feel blessed to work for so many excellent Professional Photographers, and want to take this time to thank you for your continued trust.

John Stanton - Customer/Studio Support

John brings a long and varied background to the position of sales manager. During the 20+ years as a commercial photographer he earned the degrees of Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman in the PP of A. He also holds Fellowships for American Society of Photographers and the Institute of Professional Photographers of England. He spent 15 years with the Eastman Kodak Company giving over 450 programs to professional photographers throughout the US and 28 other countries. These experiences equip John to provide quality service for you and your customers.



Marketing and Sales Director

John Gresham - Marketing and Sales Director

John’s love of photography started with an elective course in High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and trained as an imagery production specialist, processing and printing classified satellite and aerial reconnaissance photos for the United States Strategic Command. After 3 years, his military specialty field merged with traditional photography allowing him to greatly expand his photographic knowledge. Over the next 7 years he traveled the world as an Air Force photojournalist documenting a wide range of events. While in service he earned an A.S. of Visual Information from the community college of the Air Force. Currently he is near completion B.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. With 15 years of experience in photography, lab operations, and graphic arts, John has a wealth of experience in which to assist you.
